Key to unlocking Kenya's outsourcing potential

The Kenya BPO Society in it's 5 year strategy identifies two broad areas as key to developing the potential of outsourcing in Kenya:
  1. Capacity - this is a multi-frontal approach that incorporating training, technology (connectivity, data security) and a national standard capacity building. On technology, the fiber links are already here. All that now remains is for the industry to develop internationally acceptable data security policies within their companies that are in line with what clients seek (WIP). This then will form part of the National standard for the industry for players to subscribe to, which then will sell Kenya as a value destination. The training framework is already underway, and within the year, the industry should expect to have a national curriculum and if all goes well a subsidy to go along with it.
  2. Local and International market sensitization - This will involv aggressive local industry sensitization (including local and central government) and international match-making events that will generate sustainable business for the industry players.
I am therefore seeking your support to enable your society achieve these broad initiatives.
